PRODUCTION – GAY MAY DAYS

GAY MAY DAYS was a 3-day weekend of performances and a communal space with workshops, special events, and nightly maypole dances, curated by Jason Jenn and Ian MacKinnon. Contributions of great LGBTQ figures in history were honored and the nature of queerness was explored by members of LA’s contemporary creative community. Gay May Days celebrates aspects of Beltane, Social Justice, & The Eros of Springtime through a gay-centered (but all-inclusive LGBTQ) perspective. The closing event of each production was a may-pole dance performed by the gathered members of the audience.

There was an additional GAY MAY DAYS produced in 2010 at the Pollination Pavilion.
